Autumn Sunrise Mountain Photography Workshop – Ennstal
October 24, 2026 – Before Sunrise
4 to 6 Participants
Experience the magic of an autumn sunrise high above the Ennstal valley. This intensive mountain photography workshop is designed for photographers who want to capture dramatic alpine landscapes, glowing autumn colors, and—if conditions align—mystical fog filling the valleys below.
We will meet before sunrise at the designated meeting point and hike together up the mountain to reach our photography location in time for first light. With a bit of luck, we’ll witness an unforgettable scene: colorful autumn forests, layers of fog in the valleys, and the rising sun illuminating the surrounding mountain panorama.
What to Expect
Our journey begins in the early morning hours, before sunrise. From the meeting point, we will hike together to the shooting location.
Hiking time: approx. 1 hour
Physical demand: moderate
At the summit, we will focus on capturing the unique atmosphere of autumn in the Alps. Depending on weather and conditions, you can expect:
Wide mountain panoramas
Fog-filled valleys below
Warm autumn colors in the forests
Soft morning light and dramatic sunrise moments
This workshop is especially suited for drone photographers, as the elevated perspective offers outstanding aerial compositions. However, photographers without a drone are more than welcome, as there are plenty of compelling compositions and motifs to capture from the ground.
Who Is This Workshop For?
Beginners and early intermediate photographers, especially those starting with drone photography
Photographers who want to gain confidence in landscape composition, light, and timing
Advanced and professional photographers who enjoy exploring new locations in a small, relaxed group
Whether you’re flying a drone or working purely with a camera on the ground, you’ll find inspiring subjects and valuable photographic opportunities.
This workshop is open to photographers of all skill levels.
You should be familiar with the basic operation of your camera or drone. The emphasis is on enjoying photography, learning in a real-world environment, and sharing inspiration within the group—not on technical theory alone.
